Linebacker Logan Wilson announced on Wednesday that he is retiring from the NFL at age 29, according to a report from Fox News Digital.

The announcement was made on his Instagram account. Wilson reflected on his career, stating: "After a lot of thought and prayer, I’ve decided to officially retire from the NFL."

A native of Casper, Wyoming, Wilson played college football for the Wyoming Cowboys before being selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the third round, 65th overall, of the 2020 NFL Draft.[1][2]

In his rookie season, Wilson appeared in 12 games with zero starts.[1][3]

He transitioned to a starting role in 2021 and registered more than 100 combined tackles in each of the next three seasons through 2023.[1][3]

During the Bengals' 2021 AFC playoff run, Wilson intercepted a pass from Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill in the Divisional Round on January 22, 2022, returning it 30 yards for a touchdown in a 19-16 victory.[4][5]

Cincinnati defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 27-24 in overtime in the AFC Championship Game before falling 23-20 to the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LVI.[4][6]

Wilson thanked the Bengals organization, teammates, coaches, staff and fans, as well as his family. "Who Dey forever," he said, referencing the team's rallying cry. "55 out."
