Cloud Criticizes Trump's Easter Iran Threat

New York Liberty guard Natasha Cloud, a WNBA champion, criticized President Donald Trump on Sunday for posting a threat against Iran on Easter morning. In messages on Threads, Cloud wrote that a sitting president claiming to be a "God fearing man" who tweets about bombing Iran's infrastructure "IS NOT A MAN OF CHRIST." She referenced Jesus' death by governing authority and quoted the U.S. federal definition of terrorism as "the unlawful use of force or violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government."

Trump posted on Truth Social that "Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran," warning of attacks on power plants and bridges unless Iran opens the Strait of Hormuz. He added, "Open the F----n’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell - JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah." The post followed Chief Foreign Correspondent Trey Yingst's report on Trump's discussions about negotiations, including threats to destroy bridges, power plants and seize Iran's oil.

Cloud previously criticized the Trump administration's use of Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers and feuded nearly three years ago with former NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom after calling the U.S. "trash" before the Fourth of July.

Trump plans an update Monday on the U.S. military operation in Iran, which he described as nearing completion. A deadline for reopening the Strait of Hormuz could determine if the conflict de-escalates or intensifies.
